NEOM’s first luxury island destination, Sindalah, has officially opened, marking a new chapter in sustainable high-end tourism. Announced in December 2022, Sindalah has transitioned from concept to reality in just two years. A dedicated workforce of 30,000, working with local contractors and subcontractors, has brought Sindalah to life, reflecting NEOM’s commitment to rapid, responsible development.
Sindalah, positioned five kilometers off NEOM’s northwestern coast, spans an impressive 840,000 square meters in the Red Sea. Its unique location serves as an ideal stopover for yacht owners from the Mediterranean and Gulf regions, offering a luxurious getaway within a 17-hour sea journey from key Mediterranean destinations. With its exclusive appeal, Sindalah aims to attract sophisticated travelers from Europe, Saudi Arabia, and GCC countries, combining world-class luxury with eco-conscious values.
By 2028, Sindalah is projected to host up to 2,400 guests daily and create around 3,500 jobs, supporting the region’s economic growth. The island’s design, crafted by a renowned yachting architecture firm, combines natural beauty with innovative architecture, ensuring a harmonious blend of luxury and environmental sustainability.
Sindalah is home to a thriving marine ecosystem, with over 1,100 species of fish—45 of which are unique to NEOM’s waters—and more than 300 varieties of coral. Conservation practices are integral to Sindalah’s vision, inviting guests to experience its protected marine sanctuary and supporting NEOM’s broader goals for sustainable tourism and ecosystem preservation.
At the heart of Sindalah is its 86-berth marina, featuring an exclusive yacht club catering to the needs of yacht owners and crews. Equipped with advanced docking facilities, offshore buoys for super yachts, and full yacht management services, the marina strengthens Sindalah’s status as a premier yachting destination.
Sindalah also offers a rich array of hospitality, dining, and entertainment options. The central Village and Promenade feature 38 unique dining venues showcasing global cuisine and vibrant social spaces. Guests can unwind at the Beach Club during the day or enjoy evening music, providing an experience that transitions seamlessly from relaxation to entertainment.
For golf enthusiasts, Sindalah’s beachfront Golf Club offers a 6,474-yard, par 70 course, featuring two nine-hole layouts for a unique and challenging experience. This addition diversifies Sindalah’s recreational appeal, catering to a wide range of interests.
Accommodation on Sindalah is equally luxurious, with 440 rooms, 88 private villas, and 218 serviced apartments to suit every guest’s preference. Booking information will soon be available, making it easy to experience all that Sindalah has to offer.
Sindalah’s launch marks a significant milestone for NEOM, redefining luxury tourism with a commitment to sustainability. Through a careful blend of exclusive experiences and environmental stewardship, Sindalah represents the future of tourism—where luxury and nature are seamlessly intertwined.
